Our people are fundamental to the success of our business. We aim to retain key personnel, develop the skills and knowledge of our workforce and attract talented individuals to aid our future growth and competitiveness. At the same time, we want to ensure that everyone at Stelrad is encouraged to fulfil their potential and enjoy a long-term career with us.
To help us achieve this we focus on key areas including training and development, diversity, equality and inclusion and wellbeing, whilst building on our employee engagement programmes to ensure our employees’ voices continue to be heard. Outside of our business, we are committed to community initiatives tailored to local needs across our broad geographical spread.

-
The number of training days provided per employee decreased in 2024 but remained above our target of 2 days. Training provision decreased across all manufacturing sites in 2024 while remaining high overall.
-
Our voluntary labour turnover rate increased in 2024 but remained below the target of 9.9%, which represents the average for manufacturing companies in the UK. The increase was driven by turnover in Turkey where there was significant recruitment activity in 2024.
-
The percentage of managerial positions filled by women increased in 2024 and is now 5 percentage points higher than in 2022. The relatively low level of women is consistent with the demographics of the wider manufacturing sector, but we recognise that further increasing the representation of women in our business is important to our future success.
